Early Morning adventures I take with my mother

It was two in the morning on a saturday and I couldn't sleep and I had D&D at 2:00 that afternoon so I had to get some sleep or I was gonna be in trouble. Then just as I had given up hope of ever getting any sleep, I heard my mother get up and walk downstairs, as she walked down the stairs she told me to go to sleep ( my bed is a loft that was built over our stairwell by my stepdad) I told her that I couldn't sleep and she said that if when she got back upstairs if I was still awake we could try to figure something out, when she came upstairs I was still awake so she said we could go downstairs and sit on the couch, as we walked down the stairs my mom said "I wish there was some ice cream in the house...I wonder if fred's is still open" I said it might be but that we could go somewhere else to get ice cream though I couldn't think of any place except for McDonalds then my pointed out that dennys was still open so we got on real clothes ( we were both still in our pjs) and headed to dennys at two in the morning. when we got there we figured that it be smart to order actual food instead of just ice cream so we both ordered breakfast( i got the french toast platter my mom got biscuts and eggs we both had coffee even though we were plannig on trying to get some sleep when we got home) we talked for awhile until our food got there then after we'd eaten a little we continued talking, not really about anything in particular but it was nice to able to spend time with my mom without my little sister around. anyways, we had our desert and left by then it was four in the morning when we got my mom sat on the couch to work alittle and I went upstairs and flopped onto my bed completly dressed and passed out, I woke up at about 10:00 having rested enough that I was able to make it through an entire D&D session (if you wat read about the session i'm sure there's a post about by now on Kvaps artist blog)and that was my saturday more later.
